Bus Window Frames

Postby bugstrk » Sun Sep 28, 2014 8:23 pm

Finally getting back into the VW project and working on the Bus. Picked up the wheels last week from my buddy who powder coated them. Removed the front glass and began cutting out the metal to install funky green lower window frame. Finished cleaning it up today. One more trim and fit and should start welding next week. i have photos but don't know how to post. Also been working on 70 Ghia I am trying to sell, will have it and some other parts at Busses and Ballons.

over the last two months had the engine removed, traded the Ghia plus some cash for overhualed 1835. Cleaned engine compartment, removed and cleaned gas tank. Painted engine compartment. Replaced rear tansmission mounts and throughout bearing. Working on wiring and installing new engine seals. Hoping to have engine reinstalled and running by next weekend. Oh, also picked up 70 convertible bug.
I see a contraversial subject on other websites but what are your feelings about an external oil cooler and oil filter. I am looking at mounting it under bus to the frame next to transmission. Any advice?
Also, can someone send me instructions on uploading photos, I know how to resize them jut don't know hos to paste them. Would love to share pics with you all.
Thanks

You can upload an image that's already on the web, here's a video tutorial. (1:57)

Some sites, (like Flickr) don't allow hot linking of images.
Here's an image from my site:
