Convert from Carb to Fuel Injection

Postby weirdvolk » Mon Jan 09, 2012 8:01 pm

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if any of you guys know how difficult it is to convert a 1979 bus back to fuel injection from a weber progressive carb. I might be able to get a fairly complete set up from another 79 bus, and I wanted to check how much is involved.

Any help is greatly appreciated! :D

It shouldn't be too bad if you have everything and you know the system is in good working order. If not the parts can be pricey and/or hard to find. Not a whole lot of wiring, the harness is pretty much contained other than power and ground.

Hey ed,

Thanks for responding to my post. I'm still considering doing the swap. The guy selling the F.I. parts says everything is there and he wants $50 for the set up. I haven't bought it yet because I want to make sure I have the time to play around with it. If I do get it I'll post about it on here.

Thanks again,

JT

And if you don't get it let me know -- I want it. :)
